Until McCain answers a single question on the economy and how he would face the challenges of our current recesion I will have no respect for him. What do I care if the POTUS wants to uphold certain laws if the majority of the country becomes Detroit?
Why don't we wait until we're actually IN a recession before we start asking candidates to explain how they will deal with it?
Despite the MSM trying their hardest to talk us into it before the election, we haven't even had ONE quarter of GDP contraction, let alone two.

That's RIGHT! We should wait until the economy has completely disintegrated and THEN worry about what to do. Why bother being proactive and trying to improve the situation NOW? Wait until we hit rock bottom! that's the best plan.

Is that not the American way? We appear to be more and more crisis oriented. Since the 70s and earlier, did we not realize we were buying oil from people who did not like us much? But we made bigger houses and cars, and now we wonder, what went wrong. Yes, a wee bit of planning might do wonders! As to the stories, we have heard them all before, we want some action plans.

I never said we shouldn't be proactive in instituting policies that promote economic prosperity, even when things are booming. But it is idiotic to continually refer to the "current recession," which liberals on this board and in the MSM have done incessantly over the last few months, when we are not even close to being in an actual recession. A recession is defined as two consecutive quarters of GDP contraction. The GDP grew at almost 2% last quarter. What recession?
Like his times as a community organizer; Oh, that's right. He quit that job after he realized he really couldn't affect "change".
How about as Head of the Law Review at Harvard; Can anyone find ONE PIECE he wrote in that capacity?
How about as College "professor"; Can anyone find ANYTHING worthy to print of his time there?
Anyone??
Bots??
I think, Sanrene, people aren't bothering to post them because it's a pointless request. John McCain talks all about his prisoner-of-war days (which are being used in a really manipulative manner, IMO) - ummm... SO? Why is any of that relevant to the race at hand? It's not. Similarly, why would a "story" from Obama's professor days or law review days be meaningful?
That's pretty sad if you're basing your decision for president on their ability to tell you a "heartwarming story."
McCains most heart warming story is when he talks about the thousands of innocent Vietnamese people that he killed
