"And why are we not allowed to ask these questions, when they relate to one of the most important questions anyone can ask about a president: the question of integrity? If McCain has fabricated a religious epiphany for political purposes, it is about as deep a betrayal of core integrity as one can imagine, and the latest example of how pernicious the religious domination of political life in America has become."

He does make a good point.
I think ANY candidate running for POTUS should be open for ANY question. Nothing should be off limits. I have been curious for months why almost everything in BO's past is off limits. Do not ask about his teis to Palestinians, do not ask about his ties to Rezko or Ayres or Dohrn, do not ask about his life as a muslim...DO NOT ASK and do not use his middle name.. no matter what. What is good for one is good for both. I would definitely like to see both have to answer some tough questions. Forget the fluff from Saturday night, that was kids stuff, like they were interviewing for prom king.
I wouldnt mess with straight talkin john with regards to his time as a POW. Nothing good can come from it for your candidate. The stategy should be to lick your wounds and go home hoping everyone forgets about the interviews.

What do you think of the questions Andrew Sullivan suggests asking of John McCain?

If that's the standard you wish to see, you should definitely lobby for it. It does open quite a Pandora's Box, considering the Senior Senator's time as a politician. Many of the questions you have above have been answered. Are you certain your motive isn't some other? Impartial conservative media analysts have issued statements and research attesting Senator McCain has received an easier time in the press, I found the analysis interesting, but the process by which they came about the findings seemed to fair.

This news has nothing to do with the Saddleback interviews other than the very first person to discover the Solzhenitzyn connection was watching the interviews at the time. It has nothing to do with Obama and everything to do with Straight Talking John McCain. Repeat, there is no connection to the interviews or to Obama.
The cross story can't be proved or disproved, and can certainly easily be spun and neutralized. There's nothing to fear. So why not just look at the OP's article before you comment? It's short.
when Obama was asked how he has changed his mind on something from 10 years ago, Obama used something from when he was in the state senate??
He was not in the senate 10 years ago................
LIAR.
