"Everywhere I go, people have told me, 'Oh, I'm getting nervous. The Republicans — they're so mean. What are we going to do?' " Obama said. "They did it to John Kerry. They did it to Gore. They tried to do it to Clinton; they did it to Dukakis. That's what they do. That's their politics. They don't know how to govern, but they know how to run a negative campaign."
Obama Sharpens the Message

Now that Senator Obama has returned to enthrall the masses with a sharpened, much more focused message, undoubtedly Senator McCain will be relieved to know he'll get more press, if for no other reason than the opportunity to issue rebuttals. Did he squander his free ride in the media? There are many views; however, one thing appears to be certain, there was no major bump in the myriad of polls, and how else can one measure the minute wins in the day and life of politicians prior to an Election Day Vote?

More neg political statements from Obama. Now he'll go back to duck and hide from any real town hall debates with McCain. Politics of change. Ha.

When you build your image on a house of cards, Senator Qualifying Follow Up Statement is going to have tough sledding with those of us that don't have shivers running up our legs. Obama's campaign reminds me of the South Park episode that parodies Return of the Living Dead with the homeless chanting "Change? Change?" like they are on auto pilot instead of "Brains! Brains!" like the zombies did in the original movie. The only change I'm seeing is Obama dropping the socialist rhetoric in the hopes that he can fool some more change zombies.

If you have to run around telling everyone that you are patriotic, then you probably are not. If you are a true patriot it will come through in your actions. Your service to the country, your voting history, the types of people you surround yourself with, so on... However if the masses believe you to be unpatriotic due to the same things, then there you have it. Perception is reality and BO has shown his unpatriotic self too many times to have it disappear because he gets on a stage and says its true...so we must believe...he is after all the One, who are we to doubt him. Please, calling him unpatriotic is mild compared to what he should really be called.

I've not seen Obama do a single thing that I view as unpatriotic, but then again, I don't measure my love of country by focusing on such trivial accouterments as flag pins, and blind refusal to acknowledge the areas where we could do better, and am suspicious of those who do.

I'd say the same for McCain, but his recent ambiguity in the area of torture (refusing to vote to ban waterboarding) has really set me off. He voted not to ban torture, sorry, but that is unconscionable in my book.

They don't care about the real issues. They just like to throw mud and make nothing statements. I don't think I would like their change. I am doing just fine now. My hard working children are doing fine too. They will be doing even better if Obama does not get in. I have one relative that got so obnoxious about Obama that I took them off my e-mail list. There are limits to what you will put up with even from a relative.
