I am really depressed by the political state of America today.

I refuse to vote for McCain simply because of all of the negative ads he runs. I cannot respect someone who tries to win by bashing the opponent.

I am not crazy about Obama, but yesterday when I saw him bring his children on stage to talk to him in front of America, that blew it for me. How can I vote for someone who uses their children to further their own career?

I don't want to throw my vote away on a third party candidate, but I am sick of the campaigns run by both parties. The fact that they will do anything to win makes me not want to vote for them.

Is it too much to ask for a candidate with integrity?

We had those candidates. But people said they were kooks and "funny looking".

Default Don't really want to vote...

Then don't.

If you don't vote, then my vote counts that much more.

Like Paperhouse said, we had a few. Then all the American Idol watchers who went out to vote in the primaries rejected them. They didn't promise enough goodies, or their ideas were too "radical," or they didn't give good soundbites, or they looked funny.

If it helps make your decision, think about this: If you vote your conscience, you're never throwing your vote away, even if only you and three other people vote for your guy. But if you settle for the lesser of two evils, then you really ARE throwing your vote away.

I'm going to throw my vote away by writing Ron Paul's name down on a piece of paper and handing it in. In all good conscience, that is the only thing I can do to stay true to myself.

If Obama or McCain wins......it makes no difference to me. Socialism vs Facism is how I see it.

So I'll "throw my vote away" as some might say.....

but voting for one of the other two.....I don't see how I win either way

Be a Patriot and write in your candidate of choice ... that's what I'm doing. I'm not letting the asshats stop me from voting. Chin up.
