Is change good or bad? Thank God that Americans more than any other group of people in history have adapted change so readily for it has been change that even gave us the Constitution when the Articles of Confederacy failed. Thank God that with the exception of FDR, we get an automatic change every 4 to 8 years. Change is as American as the flag waving.

But should we change just for change? We changed in 1976 and we got Carter. We changed in 1920 and we got Harding. Arguably, history has identified those two changes as the worst changes ever made by American voters.

On a personal level, did you ever change automobiles and wish you hadn't?

I, too, will vote for change when what I am changing to is better. As voters we are obliged to vote for a better candidate, not just for change for the sake of change.
