How could you possibly guarantee this? When I heard his speech in 2004 I was impressed by his ideas, which were very similar to mine, not his race.

HE would not have been at the convention at all in 2004 had he been white.

Please, do you have his high school or college transcripts? And if he had been white, he probably would not have settled in south side Chicago, if he had political aspirations, he probably would have made his home in a majority white area. That's how politics works, he still would have gotten elected, but he would have been elected by a demographic similar to his. This is true for white, black, Jewish, and Latino politicians all over the country.

So they said about the moon, and robotics in factories...the list goes on. You're so afraid to try something new. 5-7% of oil goes to products, the rest is energy. We can replace those sources. We're running on an electrical grid that's been around since the 1900, and a rail system that's been around since the 1800's. It's time to upgrade and put millions to work doing it. Strange how only one candidate has any idea of how to get this done.

Why wouldn't we be having this exchange?

Maybe someone in the DNC heard him speak and appreciated his inclusive ideas and his optimistic views for our future.

Did you happen to catch Maria Bartoromo's interview with Palin? Palin advocates the use of alternatives too. Alaska is big. Oceans for waves. 24 hour sun in the summer. Trillions of feet of natural gas.

Let's try this logically. If Obama was white, he would not be black.
