So, with announcement that Palin's 17-year old UNWED daughter is going to be a mommy, the McCain campaign has been turned into an episode of Jerry Springer. Can that venerable Texan, Dr. Phil McGraw be very far behind with the 'fix it' show?
Didn't they vet Gov Palin? Or the family? I remember when Jimmy Carter took a lot of heat for his brother Billy, the beer redneck who drove around in his pickup truck quaffing brews.
Telephone interviews only "show" so much. Way to go Johnnie.

I heard an interview where the "insider" said that McCain had wanted and intended to name Lieberman as his VP. When his handlers told him that there would be an uprising on the floor of the convention and that the delegates would refuse to confirm Lieberman, McCain got angry, got on the phone, and told Sarah to "Come on down." The interview suggested that McCain just acted on his own without any vetting going on. I don't know how true that is but it is what was said and it sounds like things he has done when having a temper tantrum.
Hold that thought and stay tuned. It is consistant with the time sequence of when he learned he could not have Lieberman and called Palin. What is not in mainstream media is how he reacted. Remember how he is influcenced by the last person he talks with.
Properly vetting his VP should have revealed a World of potential issues. I suspect this is the tip of the iceberg as the professional's are either on vacation or concerned with the other storm. If you don't vet your running mate, everyone knows the political machines are more than happy to oblige. Did the Senator even prepare the Gov. for this? Makes you wonder....the entire State was caught off guard.

That is a major question how well prepared was she. Does she really know the public scrutiny she and her family will get. There are other questions about to be asked on this topic and it will be interesting how they get answered.
