I have a funny feeling about all this "news" that is coming out...
Not only is she under investigation for the trooper thing, she has done this before! (source ADNSearch.com | Search Results
We now know Trig was in fact hers because her daughter's pregnant now
We found out she had to get a passport for the first time to go to Iraq
Cindy McCain thinks Sarah has foreign knowledge because Alaska is next to Russia. (I can't make this stuff up folks!
YouTube - Palin has security experience b/c Alaska is close to Russia )
She was actually FOR the Bridge to Nowhere Source: http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/archi...1/1317980.aspx
And her husband had a DUI in the past.
McCain is in full panic mode and is sending people to vet her after the fact

So I think Sarah will step down for the "good of the party". That means McCain will pick again only this time it won't be so easy.

Should the Dems have kept this in for a few weeks or at least till AFTER the GOP's convention?

uhm if she were to "step aside", then it would resonate strongly as "McCain lacks good judgement".

Why wait to attack? The GOP doesn't wait to attack. The GOP will invent lies if they can't find something real to smear you. Case in point was the swift boat job they did on McCain in the 2000 SC primary, where Rovian thugs (now working for McCain) spread lies around SC that McCain has a child by a black woman. Or is it that Cindy is black and we don't know it? Hmmmmm.

As much I would like to see it, it won't ever happen. If Mccain switched running mates his campaign would become one giant, messy clusterf*ck.

I don't think it would hurt the dems, it would just prove once and for all that McCain has terrible judgment and would be a disaster.

Well, a WORSE one than it has been all along. Anyone within 50 yards is going to need a towel.

Either way, its a disaster. They'll get her off the ticket in a day or so, then proceed with the convention and find some sucker for VP.

When I asked this question in the "Palin a decoy?" thread, I got BLASTED.

Nice to see an actual discussion about the possibility of a new running mate being tapped.

Has a candidate ever switched after the convention before? Is there a point of no return?

You're right! Wish you were running the Obama campaign...as repubs have proven you don't win elections by being nice.
