Although nobody wants to acknowledge this, there is a VERY valid point to be made here. The Republicans are trying to make this election about voting for the candidate that is 'one of us'. How many of 'us' live their lives like this? You can't have it both ways.
You got it and it seems like some of her supporters share the same indifference from their post. Good read for independents trying to evaluate the candidates and their perspectives on their fellow Americans or for some those other non Americans. Good post.
Now those amongst us who are struggling under 8 years of Bush can read McCain supporters and see if 4 more years will offer anything different in how their government views them and their plight.

I may be off-base here, but how are only THREE carat diamond earrings 280k? I bought my wife 1 carat wedding ring for a 5 grand....could it be a typo? I am not a jewelry expert so there may be some knowledge of diamonds that I am not familiar with, but it seems far-fetched at first glance.

The same could be argued about Obama then. He came from humble beginnings, worked hard to get into Columbia and Harvard on his own merit. If you say you don't care are where Cindy's money or how she spends it then please don't say Obama is an elitist because then you're just being a hypocrite.
