I didn't even read your little link because quite frankly, I find it hypocritical that the right-wingers only support life while it's safely inside the womb of the mother and FREE because the mother is supporting the baby with her own body and breath. As soon as the baby is born, then it goes from being a precious life to a "bastard child" that has to be supported by "anyone except me". So please, spare us all the hypocritical rhetoric. In my own personal case, I have a family, and my husband and I are able to support all of our kids. I'm not going to get into what other people should do. There was never a time when desperate women and girls did not self-abort using hideous and dangerous methods such as hangers, broken bottles, and God only knows what else Taking away abortion will NOT stop abortions; it will only stop legal abortions. Why is this constantly a campaign issue? How do you legislate this? Why do you fundies keep putting this wedge between the so-called Democrats vs. Republicans and vice versa when this broad generalizations aren't even true?? Most Americans can see through this; all except for the Christian Taliban, in the form of Christian/Evangalical conservatives who wish to take over our country; this is scary and I hope it's stopped before they firmly entrench themselves. Now they are trying to take away birth control as well and make that illegal as contraceptives are abortifacents. Maybe they should take away Viagra instead and therefore, some women wouldn't need birth control. God forbid that that ever occurs. Some penises need all the help they can get; we understand that, and we weep for that.
Personally I weep for all the innocent children killed in the Iraq war. I guess because they aren't Christian they don't matter to the pro life crowd. But I guess we need the oil..................so killing them is convenient and thus okay. Pro Life voters who choose McCain are advocates of murder and nothing less.
Again no one person responds about the killing of innocent Iraqi children. Get off your moral pro life high horse. By having voted for Bush and by voting for McCain you are supporting a murderer of children. There is no difference.
If the baby is still alive once it is outside of the mother then it is no longer about "control of her body". She has her body and there is no longer any baby in it. She is no longer, feeding, nurturing or caring for that baby with her body in any way. The baby's life is it's own at that point. It has the same right to life as anyone else. The mother has the right to abort but she dosen't have the right to murder a living, breathing person after it has left her body.
It's life at that point, is protected by the state, as it's own. That's why mothers who kill their children are tried for murder or manslaughter, because that "born" child had the right to it's life, and anyone who takes that away usually ends up in prison. Rightfully so. You can't murder people because they are an inconvenience to you or because you'd prefer if they didn't exist.

HUMAN BEING! I don't understand how anyone could say that's it's a woman's right, when the child within is a completely different entity. If we can advocate for animals who cannot speak for themselves, why can we not advocate for these fetuses/babies who also cannot speak for themselves?
I have said it before and I will say it again, it is no-ones damn business what a woman decides to do with regard to her body and the decision she makes which will affect the whole of her life
The ending a pregnancy is more moral than bringing an unwanted child into this world. There are far too many unwanted, neglected children in this world. I think a child would rather not be born than have to face a life of abandonment or neglect. Unwanted children, through no fault of their own, can destroy families.
I think we should be acknowledging and applauding women who are not creating these troubled people in the first place.
You don't understand. The "feminine" high-road angle only works for pubs when it comes to justifying Palin being in the white house despite inability, inexperience and a very rocky home situation.

We don't adovcate for pregnant animals. Using your logic, the neutering of stray cats should be illegal.
I'm sorry for your reproductive difficulties, I really am ... I was there at one time, but what you want to do with your body has no bearing on what I should be able to do with mine. Stay out of my uterus and I'll stay out of yours.
