He gives comprehensive answers to to issues. Not calling the American people dumb, but most do have a very short attention span.

People understand "drill now" in a of seconds. "Kill the terrorist" takes even less time to get people on board. But trying to explain who are and are not terrorist just takes to much time.

Obama's grasp of the complete picture is why I am voting for him, but is also IMO his greatest liability as well.

People don't seem to want a smart president.

Obama knows how to work a crowd. He has oratory skills. He also is evasive, glib, stays with his head in the clouds. Not a clue to the reality of a hazardous world. Just what really street smart, crafty and wily enemies love about him! Let's keep them from meeting him shall we? Otherwise, we are all sitting ducks if this doofus is able to grab the helm.

Really? Is THAT why after months of being accused of being vague and flip flopping he even acknowledged it in his Messiah speech and tried to outline his hard positions?

People are still trying to figure them out. Just vague enough to be ambiguous.

Not that McCain was any better last night....but you got the drift of the two parties from both speeches.

Let's "face it squarely". This election is only about a payback for Iraq controversy and supporting the excitement of the first African American President, and charisma. With a small nod to "maybe" taxes by older people. Younger people could care less.

You could pull Jesus Christ out of the sky to run Republican and the Dems would stick with Obama. And Rev. Wright.

By the way, Michigan is in trouble for Obama because he backed , associated with and praised Kwame Kilpatrick, also a SUPER DELEGATE TO the campaign and now he's disgraced.

He's stuck because throwing him under the bus like granny would alienate part of his constituency and NOT throwing him under the bus alienates the others. Another person Obama "never knew like he thought he knew" like Wright, Ayers ....

OBAMA video praising Kilpatrick for his national leadership who's going to be doing astounding things for many years to come. LOL...got that right.
LiveLeak.com - This is not the Kwame Kilpatrick Obama thought he knew

LUCKY he had "judgement" on IRAQ but not with any people that keep cropping up.

Thanks for the example of a quick sound bite that fails to include the complexity of the issue.

Well that explains the last 8 years of Bush.

"There's an old saying in Tennessee—I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee—that says, fool me once, shame on—shame on you. Fool me—you can't get fooled again."

Obama's main problem is the fact that people like me are going to vote for him now because we can't stand what Sarah Palin stands for, not because we like what he has to say.
