Thank you for pointing this out! I was waiting for this one!

Obama has been preparing himself to be a possible President since at least 2004 - while Palin has been preparing herself since last Thursday! I hope she has great last minute cramming skills.

And once again for all those that don't understand geography. Kuwait is NOT Iraq. They are two totally different countries.

The point is that this was not Obama's only trip to Iraq - it was his latest trip to Iraq - Palin has never been there.

And before someone says it again Kuwait is not Iraq!

So Palin's been involved in seeing her troops in the Iraq theater of operations long before Obama went to play politics with the troops. And she visited the injured in Germany which Obama ignored when he couldn't use the visit of the wounded as his own photo op.

It's amazing to see you guys bring this topic up as your candidate is out flanked in virtually every category.

Has Obama criticized McCain about not going to Iraq? McCain has the double standard on this issue, not Obama.

At least 8 times since 2002:

It was the eighth trip to Iraq since 2002 for Biden, who is seeking his party's presidential nomination and is chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

As of June 2005 he had made 5 (FIVE) trips to Iraq

"Biden, who has made five trips to Iraq since U.S. forces overthrew Saddam Hussein a little more than two years ago"

Military.com

Why am I going back to 2005? Because in June 2005 the highest elected office Palin held at the time was Mayor of Wassilla, Alaska - population 6,400. Also at that time she had never stepped foot outside the US.

It's amazing how you have not recognized you were wrong in your first comment and keep lightening your statement on Palin's actual responsibilities with the National Guard. First it was commander in chief and now is visits Kuwait (while on the way she had a layover in Ireland and bought a nice sweater which she constitutes as international experience). It's okay to be wrong, it's not to keep back peddling.

You are correct though about Obama only visiting for political gain. It's pretty sad to say the least.

Visiting Alaskan National Guard troops in KUWAIT (NOT IRAQ) that were not under her command and control is good enough to understand the geopolitcal complexities of IRAQ (NOT KUWAIT) yuh?
