A very offensive post. I did my 20 during Nam, did you?
Thank you for your service to our country. I'm in my early 40's so I didn't have any family that served.
How do you feel about McCain's dismal voting record on behalf of vets?

My friend and take this with thought and the right way. Those who opted not to participate in Vietnam are not necessarily impressed by those who did. We may not denigrate you and do respect those who gave their life and their families however: Don't expect us to feel lesser because we didn't and defer to those who did.
Good job Dems...only the 4th thread started about the background during the speech. Way to stick to the issues.
I didn't realize this forum was only about issues. Is that in the terms of service? Is general discussion on topics related to 2008 Presidential Election not allowed. Hmmm are we suppose to be throwing tantrums about the back drop and attacking each other? Wow issues only and not general chat. Novel idea oh well, taken under consideration and.
Folks did you find it interesting that they went with a green back drop again after the controversy earlier in the campaign about the greed backdrop?
It was pretty funny to see that, and also to see the green background again. But the best part was Cindy's green dress. It was a pretty dress, actually--but didn't she realize it meant she was wearing a green screen? Or maybe that was the idea--they want to promote themselves as the party of change, and now creative people can creatively change the color of her dress. Or jazz it up with a few photos.
Hmm, I gotta wonder if maybe the GOP did this on purpose. You know, it does get people watching the speech over and over while they play with the green screen. And playing with the green screen is kinda harmless--it's really just silliness. Maybe it was a clever move...
Like many Americans, I, too, was wondering what building they kept showing. I can hardly believe they made such a bonehead mistake.
My kids' school TV station is more detail-oriented.......
While this obviously isn't a big deal in and of itself, you pile it on top of Troopergate, McCain's incessant flip-flopping, and both of them trying to insinuate religion into government, and they scare the *%$# out of me!
