Wali, are you trying to make yourself look......well, kinda slow? Isn't Hawaii a blue state and things are sky high there as well? Gee, wonder why that is? If this is the best your side has it's all over before it even started.
No. By posting the thread and topic I'm getting an objective opinion and conversation on the economic concerns of the citizens in Alaska. If you don't ask you won't know. Thanks for participating, I greatly appreciate your extremely knowledgeable opinion.

Me, being a knowledgeable guy, says you're welcome. Along the same lines, are native Alaskans less apt to survive walking into the bowels of an erupting volcano than a native Hawaiian?
"Sam Shields, who lives in the Kuskokwim River town of Bethel, also is among the 610,768 people who are receiving the dividend this year. The state's estimated population is just under 680,000 people.
Shields said the money is desperately needed in his community, where he recently saw a whole chicken selling for $23 at the local grocery store. Gasoline is going for almost $6 a gallon, but that price is expected to reach the $8 mark when the last barge of the season delivers its load of fuel." Source
Is this what Governor Palin has in store for the lower 48? Are the citizens ready for these types of prices in the near future under a McCain Administration? Welcome to the average citizen's shopping trip under the Economic Stewardship of Governor Palin. WOW!

Do you mean you are getting subjective opinions? Objective would have to be more of a controlled study/poll, not just asking what everyone thinks.
I'm thinking a $23 chicken (which is not a staple in the Alaskan diet) is the least of their worries. Go ahead and keep on posting your sensless babble, a good laugh makes me live longer. I went over Black Bear Pass in Colorado and thought I was invincible...watching this I realize I haven't seen nothing.
We pay $3.80 in Texas and refine the stuff in our state...$6 seems kinda low to be honest.
Thought I was tough for this one...I am a woosie to Alaskans.

The part about supplies being deliver by barge would have been a pretty good clue for most folks that take the time to actually research the facts and figures.
I think practicing intellectual honesty is a very important attribute when discussing the issues no matter what they are. This is a situation that is becoming frighteningly absent pretty much everywhere I look.
