"You chose a female as your running mate, and we applaud your contribution to the progress this represents," the letter states. "Unfortunately, you chose the wrong woman for the wrong job. Governor Palin is a working mother whose achievements should be respected - but due respect for a budding political career doesn't mean she is ready to be vice president - a heart beat away from the presidency. Nor does it change the fact that she's not the best candidate to improve the lives of women and working families in this country."

Women of Steel to McCain: Palin wrong choice for working women, families

Wow a union against a Republican...and you call that news.
The real news:
Unions have caused jobs to go overseas. They served a purpose and now they must go as they do no good for anyone. Why is a bureaucrat allowed to stand between the worker and the client? The worker should answer to the client...always. No that is some real news.
They would have written the same letter had the pick been Kay Bailey Hutchison form the Great State of Texas!
Of course unions want socialism more than anyone else...childcare is already provided thru the schools called after hours care and very cheap goes until 6:30pm. These are union jobs so they are off well before. Healthcare is available to all I pay $500/month for a family of 5 with 90/10 coverage and $0 co-pays. Of course if you do healthcare thru an employer it could be cheaper, you don't need medicare/caid for special needs children there are state run programs for that. The fact that the US has the second highest corp. taxes causes the jobs to go overseas. Unions and dems in congress have caused this problem...McCain wants to lower the tax rate so we can compete. Sick leave...please...I worked tending bar in college and had sick leave all large companies have sick leave. Pure babble from a bunch of low educated ignorant union bosses.

The usefulness of unions is a topic for another forum, I'll gladly debate you just point the way. As for union members, they have the right to vote and voice their opinions....just like you.
