I hope this hadn't been posted before.
What does it mean, when people accuse Obama of not understanding the war or the troops, when he recieves notably more donations from them than John McCain?
It means that they have listened to what he is saying and reviewed his voting record and realized that he really does support the troops in word and deed.
There are many soldiers in Iraq that are for Obama...on one of the blogs I belong to many of them post pictures and comments about how proud they are for all of us here "fighting" the GOP. They really feel betrayed by the current government and see McCain as a continuation.
Ummmmmmmmm........you may want to start using some unbiased facts when posting, rather than numbers from a left wing LGBT site............LOL.
Veterans favor McCain by a wide margin. See below.

It won't matter one iota to the haters on this forum. Their brains are poisoned and they're unreachable at this point. Their naked hatred and disgusting lies are becoming a conditioned reflex that spews forth at any mention of Obama.
America shouild be better than this.
The fact that our all-volunteer military favors Obama wil probably cause some of these "uberpatriots" to make condescending remarks about the troops who serve in harm's way.

Sure...
USA Today is a biased left-wing source.
Besides, it would clearly appear that you didn't even bother to read the article at the link you posted. It doesn't say that military people favor McCain. It says, "
Voters who have served in the U.S. military favor John McCain (http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/military_veterans_favor_mccain_56_to_37# - broken link) over Barack Obama by a 56% to 37% margin.
This data, from a Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey, is based upon interviews with 3,000 Likely Voters, including 588 voters who have served in the military.
It DID NOT survey active duty personnel.
Reality plays no part in the world of the obsessed.

That poll mentions VETERANS - not active duty folks.
No mention on the ages of those veterans, but chances are they are older than the active duty folks - and thus fall more into McCain's demographic.
Apples and oranges.
