Poll: Convention lifts McCain over Obama - USATODAY.com

Quote:
McCain leads Democrat Barack Obama by 50%-46% among registered voters, the Republican's biggest advantage since January and a turnaround from the USA TODAY poll taken just before the convention opened in St. Paul. Then, he lagged by 7 percentage points.

In the new poll, taken Friday through Sunday, McCain leads Obama by 54%-44% among those seen as most likely to vote. The survey of 1,022 adults, including 959 registered voters, has a margin of error of +/— 3 points for both samples.

This election is dead heat and the only poll that matters is in November.

Oh, you weren't saying that a week ago when obama was up by eight. An 11 point bounce is pretty darn good, I would say. Maybe the bounce is not done.

Obama was up by as many as 16. Obama is down by 4-8 points now and loosing ground hourly. I think he should save the tax payers the money and forfeit! I'm dead serious. McCain will win easily.

I agree it's a good thing McCain is up but we have to be strong. These democrats are greedy and will do everything in there power to try and win. They will carpool to the booths..they will spread the FALSE word about a un-ready Uhbama. Stay strong fellow republicans and don't let these liberals run us down.

If there is any meaning in these latest polls, I like to think that some of the bounce was not only from the convention but also from the Palin pick and the resulting vicious attacks from the left. Time will tell.

No, I just know how democrats are. You see how Uhbama and greasy joe are. It is exciting to see the jump but republicans need to get out in mass numbers and vote for the DREAM TEAM McCain/palin
