Monday is likely McCains "peak" bounce day as it was for Obama. But, since there is no more convention to deflate the bounce, Mccain will likely lead until the first Debate (based on history). And the polls are probably showing things that McCain himself would have not believed had you told him this 3 weeks ago.

CNN-Tie, McCain-48, Obama-48
USA Today-McCain +10, McCain-54, Obama-54
Rasmussen-McCain +1, McCain-48, Obama-47
Gallup-McCain +5, McCain-49, Obama-44

RCP Average-McCain, +3.2 (McCain-48.6, Obama-45.4).

Had you asked me at the beginning of the year, I would have said that McCain would have lost it all, and Obama would run away with this election.

I expect this to be deja vu of 2000.

Considering this is McCain's bump, that's good news for Obama.

How so? Whenever you go second in a convention, your job is to break even with the first convention. McCain did that and more. So why is this good for Obama?

What a brilliant man and strategy. Steal/blunt obama's speech/convention bounce with his VP pick and then get a nice, nice one of his own. More people watched Palin and McCain than Obama, that should tell you something. Good news all around.

Now, 20% is a bit ambitious. That would cause groups to scream racism!
