OK let's divide the blame up. The President who controls the Fed, Treasury, FDIC and SEC get 1/2. The Congress gets the other 1/2 but since the Republicans were in charge for 6 of the past 8 years, they get 3/4 of that 1/2 of the blame.
Do I think the Democratic Congress is without blame? Hell no! They have pretty much laid down for Bush since they took over 2 years ago.

Now, this might be "out there", but has anyone thought that one of the reasons these brokerage houses have failed besides greed, is because they are obsolete? Who pays for a broker to buy your stocks when you can get Morningstar reviews and e-trade at $8 a pop? Maybe its time they go the way of the horse and buggy?

It's not just loans acquired since the dems have been in congress that are going bad. It's been 6 years a coming. All in government are to blame. This is probably the only time party affiliation means nothing. Blame everyone.
