Those numbers also include one day of post debate tracking. Biden did his job well.

Yup, as I said a couple of days ago (right after the VP debate) the polls are going to show a couple of points bounce for Obama as a result of some independents swinging his way. So far this morning both Gallup and Rasmussen have him at 50% or more. Others will likely show an increase in his position.

So much for that FOX News call-in poll showing a lopsided Palin victory. If that was truly the case, we wouldn't be seeing movement towards Obama.

Well now my friend will you be right or will I be right? You think Obama will pick up a bigger lead and I suspect his lead is at maximum. For it to expand McCain has to sink from his recent trending low of 42% towards his all time low of 40% (July 25-27) or Obama needs to break through his all time ceiling of 50% and hit 51 percent. We now have major thresholds to watch both high and low. Will be interesting very interesting. In all probability Obama will trend more to the middle of his range and McCain will trend up. Don't be surprised to see it within four points or closer by next Sunday. The next debate is a town hall forum debate and that should help McCain.

Gallup Daily: Election 2008

The above is a good link to review and bookmark for future use. It shows the polling back to way back when.

I would have loved to have been in the same room with him after the debate. He kept it together and I'm sure he had to bite his tongue or hold onto a stress ball really tight to keep his cool ... I would have loved to have heard him go off like a tea kettle.
