A two-fer! Two lies in one sentence! McCain supporters are going to have to start doubling up like this, because the single lies are not doing it.

Heck no. I want to hear what they have to say now. OK, it is not all about me, so let me think about it...Heck No!!! The only way they should post pone the debate is if they post pone the election. We still have not seen Palin do a real unscripted intervire, the only way we can getthe real goods from either candidate is a debate. We don't have the time to push it off. I really want to hear them discuss the economy during this crisis.

All of a sudden Obama is so interested in debating. Where was he all summer when McCain asked him to join him in those town halls?

People are making a bigger deal about this than it is.

Obama didn't need the town hall debates. McCain did.

Why would Obama want McCain to benefit from his huge crowds? Why would the guy in the lead want to give in to the weaker candidate's demand?

This is the way it always goes. The one in the stronger position dictates the terms. Obama and McCain agreed to a set of four meetings. Now McCain is making a silly excuse to skip out on the first.

And they're terrified of the second, too.

Everyone knows who is going to look like he does not care about us, Obama just proved that he does not.
If he skips out on the debate set for tommorrow, then he needs to cough up funds to reimburse Ole Miss to the tune of 5 million as that is how much they have spent so far getting ready for this debate.

Also, let it be known that Southerners take high offense to being cast aside, and already he is losing votes. I do think he will come to the debate simply because he does not want to lose votes, Mississippi is supposed to be His state, but with this slur against us, he might not have as many as he thinks he has.

Is this true? Is there some sort of contract or agreement? I so want this to be true!

I'd also love it if McCain just didn't show up, whether or not it cost him $5million.

Yes it is true. I live not far from Oxford and the news has it all over here locally. People are upset that he said he will not show up and the college is reporting that is how much spent so far.

There have been news media setting up all week for this debate. While at my dentist office on Tuesday, he said Oxford was like a circus! He lives in Oxford.

Don't know of any contract agreement, but for a state college to spend this type of money to hold the debate and then there not be one, that is simply really bad taste and many are not happy about it.

Even the Gov. was going to be there, he is a highly respected Republican and at the news conference today he didn't have much to say.

Mississippi cannot afford stunts like this and if this is how McCain intends to run his office if elected, it does not look to be different from what we have now...does it?

You mean people like John McCain?

Why didnt he rush back to Washington D.C. when people were drowning in New Orleans? Cause he and George W. Bush were celebrating his birthday in California.

His "suspending" anything is about as believable as Palin being qualified. He dont know anything about the economy, John McCain's input is not even needed. He can be briefed on the situation and suspend his campaign after the debate if he feels it is necessary.

He's skeered.....

Back to Katrina, wow.

Well its called the mayor and the governor who were both liberals were liable for the safety of their people and they failed them.

Jeb Bush had 4 disasters and handled it perfectly. Arnold two of them, perfectly.

Ike, handled perfectly but of course all rep mayors and governors.

This is a nationwide crisis that you dems are saying is of major importance, so which is it, not important or is important???

Katrina was the fault of a mayor and a governor, it was a local issue that was suppose to be handled locally first then nationally, they failed at it.

The mayor Nagan did not allow our National guard even in the town until after it was over, too late!!
