I have to give Dick Cheney some credit, at least he's competent enough to bend Bush to his will.
Palin is just a political tool used to attract women voters, the interview with Couric showed that.

McCain picked Palin as a campaign stunt to throw off the democrats. Obama didn't pick Hillary so now the republican snakes think it will be fun to insinuate that Obama is sexist because they picked a women for a running mate and he didn't. Just further proving McCain's horrible and impulsive decisions. Palin scares me a lot, she is a compulsive liar, she actually ties Iraq to 9/11, Bush doesn't even do that. Most people in the government have degrees like undergrad political science, economics, american history etc. Grad J.D, M.B.A, M.D in some cases like Dr. Paul. Call me a elitist but within our country I want a president or vice president to have a degree that further qualifies them to be a president or vice president. A B.A from a college in Idaho in Journalism is not a political degree. To prove my point I do not think she is qualified to run Alaska, being a vp for a very old man with health problems she is not qualified to run the country.
Obama or McCain both spell disaster, but in cases like these Obama would be less horrible than McCain. America needs to vote for third parties to get us out of this rut!

Remember, it took her 6 colleges to get that one degree.....pathetic. After watching her interviews, she doesn't look competent to be Governor of any state.

Given the fact that Obama taught constitutional law at one of the best law schools in the country, I think it's a pretty safe bet that he understands the constitution. Perhaps you disagree with his interpretation , but differences in opinion about certain issues can even be found amongst the supreme court justices.
As for Palin - it is obvious, even in conservative circles, that she is in over her head. It's not simply a matter of her not having experience. She does not appear to even have a base level of understanding that can be seen regular Americans who are politically savvy, read the paper or even watch C-Span. In addition to not understanding foreign policy, domestic policy or the economy, she doesn't even know (can't memorize) enough about her running mate to answer a questions about him. So yeah, it is a big deal.

Everyone ******* about the state of things, this state of things here in the US has been brought about by people who know more than everyone else.
Whats Obamas experience with foriegn policy? He's a brand new congressman in a state that doesn't even recognize the constitution. Hard to believe that people who rave about that loser can cry about Palin.

What's the big deal??????? The fact that she could become president if McCain becomes incapacitated, and she SO OBVIOUSLY has no idea what she's talking about. She is so far out of her league, I can't even describe it.

I actually do feel a little sorry for real republicans right now because they must be feeling like, "seriously, this is what we have to choose from?" I've tried to put myself in their position. What would I do if someone like Palin was on the dem ticket? I honestly don't know.

This may seem shallow, but one thing has irked me about her from the beginning....I NEVER see her in pants (unless I missed it, but doubt it, since they kept her too well hidden). Most women in that role would be seen in both; Hillary took a beating for wearing pant suits (though undeserved), but she also wears dress suits. Palin always wears dresses/dress suits, I DON"T TRUST A WOMAN (POLITICALLY) WHO ONLY WEARS DRESSES! It makes her appear subservient. Of course, this is JMHO.

yes, it does seem shallow, and totally irrelevant.

With so little to recommend her, wearing dresses is the least of her problems.
Don't forget her defense of all her international experience - every time Putin flies to the US, he flies ... over ... Alaska.
That is such a mind-boggling stupid thing to say. Well, then all those moose are just as qualified to run the country as she is.
