Burnside: Can you lay out your biggest reasons for supporting Barack Obama?
Donald Miller: First off, I know this is an odd thing for somebody in my position to do, to support a candidate for President. But I do feel this candidate is unique. Barack is the only candidate willing to talk about his faith in Jesus. Other candidates are reluctant, but Obama is not. He is the only one who has consistently talked about the cross, about redemption, and about repentance. Many white evangelicals have a misconception about Barack...they believe that because he is a Democrat, he cannot be a Christian. But times have changed, culture has changed, and political parties change. So one of the reasons I support Barack is because he is my Christian brother, and other Christians are rejecting him.
Funny. The conservative Christian thinks Obama talks about his "faith in Jesus" more than anyone else.... and yet all the Obamaphiles around here are running around screaming about how TERRIFIED of Palin injecting her religious beliefs into governing (despite no evidence that she does, or will).
Read'em and weap, people who are afraid of "religious" candidates! Join Barack's "faith based campaign tour" and realize that, because Obama said he supports it, that all those "Faith Based Initiatives" you used to be against are now A-OK!

The obvious difference is that Obama's religion governs his self in a personally spiritual way. He does not irrationally inject his religion to justify his politics.
Obama does not personally support abortion, but he recognizes that he cannot force his moral view on other people through politics.
Palin thinks the invasion of Iraq is a God-sanctioned holy war.
That's because one talks about faith for himself, the other is all about imposing faith.
Good answer!
Speaking of this matter, why did everyone make such a stink about Rev Wright and yet nobody seems to care that a witch hunter prayed over Palin and she's given him credit for empowering her? She's also been quoted in some Alaskan magazines as using the word "hater" toward anyone who isn't of like mind.

Yes, exactly.
