Ideally yes, but mostly no. We have multiple precincts voting at each polling place. There aren't enough authorized election workers to meet the demands of keeping up with what's going on at the 30, 40, sometimes more, voting briefcases, which are crammed closely together as shown in the photo link I provided.

You are a little presumptuous in your assumption, NPR had a story on it this morning, it turns out that the homeless man who had been taken to the polling place, by a very charitable and patriotic Democrat btw, actually cast his vote for McCain (b/c he said he liked the lady running w/ him).

Giving people help to vote is a great thing, when you vote you feel enpowered and part of the rest of society, which is something that is missing in the lives of many homeless people, shame on all of you who are trying to turn it into something bad.

Thank you.

Default There's nothing wrong with the homeless voting.

And if the Dems, as you say, give them a little help so be it. How come you never hear of Repubs helping people to vote? You only hear of them purging votes. And btw, what makes you think the homeless will vote for the Democratic ticket?

The Dems don't do it out of the goodness of their hearts and you know it. They do it to shore up votes for the Democratic candidate.

We all know from past elections that the Dems do this to encourage the homeless to vote for their candidate. I am quite sure they aren't at the homeless shelters helping these people the rest of the 4 years between elections.

Sometimes, some people do help the homeless out of the goodness of their hearts, regardless of what party they belong to. Democrats aren't any more evil than Republicans or Independents. Some of us actually do donate clothes and household goods when there's no election in sight, and some of us do things for our neighbors and friends with no strings attached. I've even given complete strangers rides before for no reason other than that I was asked.

But that's not the reason the Democrats round up people from the homeless shelters and take them to the polls, and everyone knows that.
