Lightbulb About the book lady doing the moderating

Everyone would be well-advised to focus on the lady at the podium tonight.

Late July, the book was announced: Talk-show host Tavis Smiley tackles Obama and race (http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/n/a/2008/07/21/entertainment/e131450D29.DTL - broken link)

Early August, she was names as moderator to no objections

Now, in the 48 hours before the debate, this just "come to light" and throws everyone up in arms?

I think the republican party and their talking heads didn't challenge the moderator then and sat on it until now, purposefully waiting until just before the debate to scream bias so they could have an excuse to (a) bash the "liberal media" (b) claim the debate is fixed against them and (c) portray their candidate as a victim. Yes, they are that sneaky.

Any question regarding the economy, domestic policy, McCain's stance on any and everything, foreign policy questions, experience questions, National Guard and Russia questions, etc.

I would say he/she does not what they are afraid of and that's the sad part.

More POS (Phony Outrage Syndrome) from the far right that is being used to prepare the masses to accept a flaming Palin failure.

Do any Palin supporters realize that what you are really saying is that Palin is incapable of standing up for herself? If she is intelligent enough, she should be able to handle any 'bias' during a debate and use it to her advantage. Do you really want a VP that you feel you need to protect? Shouldn't it be the other way around - a VP should be able to protect Americans?

Gwen Ifill is one of the most respected journalist in America. She has been respected by all parties for decades and there has never been a question about her integrity until Fox News...in their ususal slash and burn mode...started smearing her in an effort to provide Palin with cover for her expected mess.
