Obama is going to push for change and the Republicans will have to clean up the Democrat's mess again 10-20 years later when the Republicans take over the executive branch.

Let's review, shall we?

The year: 2000...

The economy has been strong for a number of years. Unemployment is low, and we're at peace. Life is smooth for the vast majority of Americans. The federal government is actually running at a surplus; a rarity in modern times.

All of this is the fault of the Democrats. Clinton has barely escaped impeachment. Time for a change.

Bush wins the Presidency by a vote of 5 to 4. The only votes counted are those of the Supreme Court justices.

America is in for a BIG change over the next eight years. Most of it negative. Most of it damaging to the middle class. Much of it the direct result of neocon influence on policymakers. The economy tanks. The federal deficit is at record levels while at the same time, the infrastructure deteriorates. We're involved in two protracted, low-intesity but expensive wars in the Middle East, with no end in sight.

And yet, we still hear, "It's Clinton's fault!"

From "the party of personal responsibility."
