Disturbing possibility re: Obama (voters, Kennedy, presidency, work) - Elections - City-Data Forum

I have to admit that now Obama is really close to wrapping up this presidency how many of you, both for and against Obama, think their is a realistic chance of him getting killed or assassinated??? The mere possibility of this happening really bothers me to the core. I do not believe this has come up in other threads -- If it has, please forgive me....

Why do people keep saying this? Are some of us here deep down a lot more violent than they may care to admit?

From those of us old enough to recall the killings of Martin Luther King and the Kennedys. I worry about it too.

I don't know, it just seems like that is something that sits at the back of our minds or atleast mine....

Yes, MLKJr. and Kennedy were killed. Forty years ago. You all are saying we haven't moved forward an inch since then?

I hope you're not serious.. a ~4% lead with over a month to go? That's FAR from wrapping up anything. Voters are a fickle crowd.. noting is guaranteed.
