"Back off" or what, he'll turn into a suicide bomber on a Presidential scale?

I heard that if Obama was just a regular Joe he would not even be able to get a secret clearance with his associations. He would be denied. Any government workers with a clearance like to comment on this.

Are they afraid?

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (AP) — Barack Obama's allies warn that John McCain's attacks on the Democrat'a character will lead to the political equivalent of mutual assured destruction: fire your big weapon at your own peril.

Several Obama surrogates said his supporters may start reminding voters of McCain's ties to Charles Keating, a convicted savings and loan owner whose actions two decades ago triggered a Senate ethics investigation that involved McCain as one of the "Keating Five."

The warnings of massive retaliation came as McCain's running mate, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, took on the role of attacker and said that Obama sees America as so imperfect "that he's palling around with terrorists who would target their own country." She was referring to an early Obama supporter, 1960s radical Bill Ayers, a founder of the Weather Underground whose members were blamed for several bombings when Obama was a child.

OMG. This is just sickening. John McCain has hijacked the democratic process and turned it into a freakin' sideshow, thereby stealing from the American people their right to hear about the issues and to select among qualified candidates for the person who will lead their country. He and Palin are just the most despicable people imaginable. There IS no personal friendship, or even working relationship, between Obama and Ayers and they know it. But they also know that fear-baiting ignorant Americans worked for George Bush--twice--and they're betting it will work again. They don't give a cr*p about this country. They will destroy it if that's what it takes to get power. Their tactics are nothing short of criminal.
OK, calm down. Take your Ritalin. "no personal friendship, or even working relationship, between Obama and Ayers" really?

I just want to put out a bit of information about Obama that would cause me to suspect him and especially not vote for him. It goes way behind Ayers.

We won't find a source that proves that Obama "practices" the Muslim faith.

What we can see is that he is in bed with many questionable people. It's rather funny how these characters can come under investigation or indictment and he hands their campaign contributions back to them or dumps them into some charity. Rezko, Nadhmi Auchi and Al Chaib, to name a few. You can check these guys out and go from there. Some he claims he doesn't recall ever meeting, like Auchi, when witnesses, at Rezko's mansion, say Obama and his wife were at a certain dinner in attendance with Auchi.

It is also interesting that David Alexlrod, Obama's chief strategist's mother was a writer for PM, a leftist tabloid newspaper published in NY from 1940-1948. Going by Obama's background it can be understood that they were both raised and mentored by people involved in socialism.

"For my mother, organized religion too often dressed up closed-mindedness in the garb of piety, cruelty and oppression in the cloak of righteousness. The Bible, the Koran and the Bhagavad Gita sat on the shelf alongside books of Greek and Norse and African mythology." Obama, also, saying his father was raised a Muslim and became an Atheist - he says.

Obama finds his roots in the Luo tribe in Kenya and helps support a guy named, Raila Odinga, who is also a radical leftist politician educated in communist East Germany. Odinga now appears to have allied with radical Muslims in Kenya whose main agenda is to advance the cause of Islam, aggressively, in Africa.

A Kenyan newspaper and television news reports that Odinga, who represents the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) , and Sheikh Abdulla Abdi, the chairman of the National Muslim Leaders Forum (NAMLEF), signed an agreement on August 29, 2007. A "whereas clause" in the agreement appears to recognize "Islam as the only true religion." That gives Sharia law a more stronghold on the Horn of Africa which is already dominating in Somalia and Sudan.

If Obama were to win the White House, he would be the first President NOT to have family on American soil.

What about his Christian faith? In Obama's autobiography he openly tells of reading the black radicals and civil rights figures of the 1960's. He said he found his greatest affinity with Malcolm X.

On joining the United Church of Christ, Obama had to have comprehended that he was joining a church who based it's principles on the black-liberation theology that Rev. Wright embraced and professed. We find that he doesn't ever share that he had an epiphany when he came to Christ. This is what he said after being instructed by leaders that he needed to tie in with a church in order to reach the community.

"That religious commitment did not require me to suspend critical thinking, disengage from the battle for economic and social justice, or otherwise retreat from the world I knew and loved." It seems, IMO, that his decision to become a "Christian" was a choice and not an epiphany.

I could go on about Louis Farrakhan, the Black Muslim and how Obama was in attendance at his Million Man March in Washington, D.C. - saying himself, that he "took time off" to be in attendance.

I'm also concerned about his associations and "hand outs" he can give behind the scenes as he did in Chicago, people he can appoint like, Cynthia K. Miller ( who is a member of Louis Farrakhan's Nation of Islam sect ) and was the Official Treasurer of Obama's U.S. Senate Campaign. Jennifer Mason, whom is also a member of the Nation of Islam. Mason is Obama’s Director of Constituent Services in his U.S. Senate office and is also in charge of selecting Obama’s Senate interns.

I also can see that I don't have to deal with all the socialist, liberal, communist, black-liberation theology with McCain that I have to take with Obama.
I read your post with interest and even though it will not make a difference, I hope that you really investigate and think about what you have stated. First off what you have placed in BOLD is really an untrue statement unless of course, you don't consider his maternal side as being a part of him. His grandmother is alive and lives in Hawaii, which is in America, as well as his sister. He is also married and has children who also live in America so to state he has no family in America is a falsehood.

As far as questionable people, to use that argument against Obama is strange. John McCain has questionable people in his life also but it is no big deal to most. Obama's connections via six degrees of separation to some people is a cause for alarm. That's cool for the people that think that way but I think a better argument would be that "I do not agree with his policies", which make more sense too me then these shadowy connections.

Since you really don't understand the purpose of the Million Man March and the reasons behind why people participated, I really don't think that you should utilize that as an argument. The reason that I say you don't understand is because based on your post, all you saw regarding that was Louis Farrakhan, and he was not the reason why people participated. He may have helped to spearhead it but everyone that went was not a follower of Louis Farrakhan and, too me, just because you disagree with someone on issues, it does not prevent you from seeing a good idea that they have or a good cause that they may be supporting.

You mention Malcolm X as if he was a horrible person but Malcolm was a very liberating individual based on my studies. He was a man that grew as he learned more about his faith and he is highly respected within the civil rights movement.

I have went to churches with the Black Liberation theology that appears to drive so many people batty but unless you understand that it is not about hating anyone but embracing and loving your heritage then you will never understand it. No one talks about hating the "White" man but you are taught to respect, help and embrace the members of your community, to give back, to help guide someone who may be going down a wrong path etc. Not a bad thing but, if the thought of Black people trying to learn about a heritage that many of us do not know is threatening, then O.K.

Now, I don't care if you vote for Obama or not but I think that maybe examining and truly realizing why you are not, whether it is his ideology, his plan for America that you don't agree with or if you can't see a Black guy (actually bi-racial) as being President, would be good. Just saying that as your post reads too me, at least, as if the problem with him and his associations is based on him being Black. Now, let me stress again, I don't care if that is the reason and I am not calling you a racist or anything of that nature...I'm just making an observation and if you have examined John McCain's past and found him and his associations more to your liking then cool. BUT, I can say this for me.....I am not voting and have not voted for someone based on who they know, and whether I agree with who they associate with. I don't agree with a lot of people that I know but that does not mean that I don't respect them so how can I judge a politician on who they have associated with, sometimes very tenuous associations, when as an adult I know that we all can be accused of having bad associations in our lives.

You sit in a church for 20 years listening to a guy like Wright, there's more to that than brothers being related.

You don't like to hear the truth? Don't blame the truth on Obama.
Hmm: "And it's not surprising, then, they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations,"

More like Obama trying to justify his condescending attitude towards gun owners and conservative religious types. He has an incredibly anti-gun record. So what better way to justify his attitudes than to make gun owners sound like they have some sort of "problem" like being bitter over economic situations.

Free trade agreements have indeed been one of the main reasons businesses have been outsourced to other countries for cheaper labor (if there were protective tariffs that wouldn't be profitable). Regardless of anyone's stance on immigration and in particular illegal immigration, one thing can't be denied if it's studied a bit: they drive down wages. They're willing to work for far less so consequently employers will pay less because they know they can. Obviously the employers are also at fault for this. Labor unions were some of the biggest supporters of tougher immigration laws in the 20's since the constant flow of immigrants gave employers a ready supply of cheap labor to exploit. Of course Obama's positions are not going to be of any help since he supports free trade and open immigration laws.

Lightbulb focus on the issues

Senator McCain really need to focus on the issues. We have enough real problems to keep him and the Governor more than busy.
