Here's a recent Poll from the Military Times. It even has a break down based on branch of service.

A Military Times poll indicates landslide support for John McCain, who captures 68 percent of the military vote to Barack Obama's 23 percent.

A poster on another forum, who is in the military, said this:

Quote:
I am currently in the military and can tell you that most guys/gals I talk to who are eligible to retire (including me) during his (BHO) "possible" term in office approach it a little differently. They refuse to retire until he gets out of office so that his name will not be on their retirement certificates that all retirees get from the current POTUS. I don't personally know of anyone who is going to get out because of the "possibility".

My thoughts about BHO fall along the same lines as when the "first black president" was CINC. We won't have any money for aircraft parts, routine maintenance times will be extended, and we will have to "do more with less". The difference this time around is that we are engaged on two fronts and any cuts will hit us a lot harder than in the 90's.

Generally I think this poll is a little conservative as far as the numbers for McCain....I think it is closer to 75% with Obama coming in just under 20%. Yes, there are still folks out there that are undecided by most lean toward McCain.

Of course this is just my opinion but I survived the Clintons years and that was just plain ugly from top to bottom.

I thought this should be bumped. That above piece is great.
