Saturday Night Live will now feature a Thursday Political Show at 9:30EST on NBC throughout the rest of the political season!! Weekend Update Specials will air until the Election, and will feature comedy of all of the folks running including Tina Fey's Governor Palin.

It's going to get real "mavericky" out there.

I'm kind of psyched. We are going to need some comic relief wherever we can get it! They will have PLENTY of great material from caribou Barbie.

Gov. Palin offers no end in sight when it comes to comedy.

There's just WAY too much material on Palin to only do one show a week.

I hope this means Sarah does a turn as guest host and spoofs Tina Fey. That would be classic.

It would, but what could she do? It would be akin to making fun of herself!

She does that everytime she opens her mouth and speaks in public!

They could spoof that 50's game show where two people try to claim to be the real Sarah Palin. (Anyone remember the name of that show?)

Or.... if they could get her to agree to it, it'd be great to see her and Tina wear matching outfits and end up in a cat fight. Then Megan Mulally could walk in wearing the same outfit, give the audience a big Palin wink, and join the fray.

Next SNL will probably feature something about Obama's new dog. I think that has a lot of potential for some classic mockery.
