Amen to that

MEDICAID AND MEDICARE: Reforming The Payment System To Cut Costs. We must reform the payment systems in Medicaid and Medicare to compensate providers for diagnosis, prevention and care coordination. Medicaid and Medicare should not pay for preventable medical errors or mismanagement.

Bringing costs under control is the only way to stop the erosion of affordable health insurance, save Medicare and Medicaid, protect private health benefits for retirees, and allow our companies to effectively compete around the world.
If McCain et al think that by elimiating payment for preventable medical errors or mismangement they can save a big bundle, they're wrong. Health care providers are not a bunch of bumbling idiots! "Preventable" error is sometimes in the eye of the beholder. The only other thing I've seen in McCain's plan that concretely speaks to decreasing costs is neotiating for lower drug prices, which I fully support. But everything else "new treatment modalities", etc, is just words, like Maverick.

Sorry, just trying to help

No that's okay.. I understand

I have shopped and shopped one of them. It was not exactly Ameriplan it was called a mini med plan. It is great for younger people that are healthy. Not so great for individuals that are older or have chronic illnesses (even though they are guaranteed issue). The lifetime and yearly max are REALLY low that one illness or surgery could very well leave you capping at the lifetime max.

It's pretty much equivelent to being uninsured.. but is certainly better than nothing.

lol, I think you might want to visit that site and read more, because you're a little off about the whole "equivelent to being uninsured" thing.
