I noticed that Obama's answer to almost every question was to throw money at it. Do you think Obama would consider giving the government all the campaign contributions he got from the Fannie and Freddie people? That would be putting his country first.

I am still laughing about Tom's trying to see the script between the two candidates heads. Funniest thing I have ever seen at a debate. I got a good belly laugh out of that.

Ah ah, assumptions will always get you in trouble. I'm not leftie. I'm a paleo-Republican gone independent until my my party either reappears or splinters off because this current version is not it.

The bazillion dollar debt is going to end up trumping what taxes should or shouldn't be. We simply cannot continue to run under this type of deficit nor can we continue to borrow like we're rich kids on a world tour. Taxes are going to have to go up. Not today or tomorrow but soon. Period.

My comment was not about what you are, it was about what he is.

The debt is not a product of Presidents it is a product of legislators, and those that tell them what to do. The end game is to bankrupt our nation and world for that matter. How else will the Amero ever work, the US must be deflated in order to balance us with Canada and Mexico. It has nothing to do with what a President will or will not do. Unless they don't go along, then they will be replaced.....and not through a vote.

Oh its both though. Legislators tack on extra spending to bills and the budgets while the President in turn submits the budget they want to see approved for approval to say nothing of the other spending the President does and proposes. Reagan is a prime example of presidential spending. Love the man though I do his entire fight against the Russians was to spend them into the ground.

LOL. Thanks...I think. My Rep heart cringes a little though. Seriously, both parties have their good and bad elements. And the two need each other. Reps balance Dems and Dems balance Reps - or at least they're supposed to. Me...I refuse to give into dogma no matter who is spouting it. Give me the facts and I'll decide for myself.

The only reason Reagans proposal got any traction was because the Non-Fed reserve banks wanted the compound interest on the debt created by military buildup.
The democratic house and senate fell in lock step in order to get contracts for the military industrial machines in their states, not for the good of the nation, but for their selfish power hunger and re-election bids.

I couldn’t believe how discourteous McCain was at the end of the debate when both candidates started shaking hands with those in attendance and the camera was still on Obama who had an outstretched hand reached out to shake McCain’s and he (McCain) refused ~ Cindy stepped over to greet Obama and they exchanged comments. McCain then walked off leaving the entire group in attendance to have a photo-op with Obama. John and Cindy were gone minutes after the debate ended without giving the consideration and courtesy to connecting with those in the audience. Unbelievable, and unacceptable that McCain would ignore everyone there. The camera continued for a long long time and stayed on Obama and his wife, whenever the camera backed off to a wider view of the area,,,,, NO McCain and no Cindy was anyplace to be seen.
I noticed that! I think Obama ran the whole show tonight!
And Mcsame knew it. He ran off with his tail between his legs, plus it was past his bedtime! McSame was mad thru the whole debate, he knew Obama sooooo had it over him on every question. Obama is some kinda guy! This man is someone to be very proud of. He is so accomplished and maintains soooo much class! I would love to have been there and had a photo op with him and Michelle. They are the true definition of quality people. Too bad there are so many dumb people who cannot see it! It is there loss!

Maybe McCain ran off because he realized (finally) how awful he is at this President thing!!! Maybe he saw the light and realized that it is not shining on towards the White House. Maybe he realized how bad he screwed up when he picked Palin! Who knows what went through his head, but I bet it was humiliation!

The last thing I saw was Tom Brokaw telling both of them to get out of his way.
