ahhh, barack obama, the android, the walking contradiction. I would be absolutely shocked if he sends his crumb snatchers to DC public schools. the ultimate slap in the face to his faith in the federal government by a huge government guy.

Most people who are somewhat well off, and most people who are in public positions where there might be danger, would send their kids to private schools.

Wow- so he'd do the same thing every other President has done, and what probably 99% of Congress, other political figures, famous folks in general, etc., does. Gee, what a "slap in the face".........

Would the DC public school system want his kids? They've got enough problems right now without needing to deal with the security issues.

it will show a total lack of faith in the federal government. he will use that as an excuse, but the truth is, he knows the government is a failure.

Ah spoken like a true liberal who thinks the federal government should have anything to do with the state issue of education.

go ahead and play it down. your assumption is ridiculous. I grew up in fairfax county VA, and went to a public high school with children of congressmen and senators. you are wrong.

Actually the lady (can't recall her name right now) who took over the DC schools a couple of years ago has been working pretty hard, doing all the stuff the right wing talks about doing to improve the schools.

That said I think Sidwell Friends and the other private schools are much better able to cope with the security issues (heightened in the case of Obama's kids) than would any public school system. The Secret Service has the final say though.
