The facts are in and the Obama camp has had to re-adjust their income disclosure statement: the Obama camp is funding ACORN's "registration rive" with $800,000!!

And ACORN has a history of committing voter fraud, pretending to be "non-partisan" while only registering Dems and telling people to vote Dems, and of course, by destroying our electoral system with fraud!!!

So far in 2008, ACORN is and has registered:

1. Illegal aliens to vote.
2. Dead people who are casting ballots for Obama (must be one of his messianic miracles).
3. Registering same person 35+ times to vote.
4. Registering people from out of state to vote in battleground states.
5. Managing to register more people to vote than the population of a county! (see Marion County, IN - heavily Dem Indianapolis).
6. Registering people who don't exist.
7. Registering the entire Dallas Cowboys lineup (in Nevada of all places!).
8. And here is my "favorite" ACORN scam: registering and getting an "absentee ballot" for a CAT!!

Election time, voting... these are SACRED principles Americans have fought for and cherished since the birth of the Constitution. Does Obama and ACORN have the right to destroy this system?? Is this a preview of an Obama dictatorship??

I hope everyone involved in these scams go to PRISON! Hope Obama tags along for the prison ride. Obama would look good in prison jumpsuits!

My question is: The Obama camp is funding this. No way to deny it now. It's a matter of public record. So.... Should the Obama camp or even Obama himself be held legally accountable for funding voter fraud??

ACORN is not perfect, but they are a group that is committed to registering the disenfranchised to vote. Now we know you Repupblicans would like nothing better than to keep lots and lots of legitimate American citizens from voting so you can keep winning elections. Its not hard to see what the villification of ACORN is all about.

The main point of the following article is that groups like ACORN which register people to vote (WHICH IS LEGAL AND DESIREABLE IN A DEMOCRACY) are NOT PERMITTED to make determinations about the legality of someone they register and they MAY NOT THROW OUT COMPLETED REGISTRATION FORMS. Do you really expect the group to throw out completed forms?

"These problems are not unique to ACORN voter registration drives. Similar fake names and duplications are often found in other voter registration efforts, or petitions to place candidates or referendum questions on the ballot, but they don't get the kind of attention that the ACORN problems are receiving. But it is a far leap from criticizing these practices to presenting it as a coordinated campaign of intentional fraud. ACORN has little choice but to turn in these voter registration forms. In many cases they simply don't realise that any individual application is flawed, not recognizing the bogus name, not seeing that the street address on the application is fake, or not knowing that the voter may have accidently filled out more than one form or already been registered.

In many states, it would be illegal for an organisation to fail to turn in a voter registration form they had received. This is to prevent a group from registering voters and then throwing out those from one party or other factors. It is up to the voter registration officials to sort out the fraudulent applications, not those collecting the forms. (Yes, that means even if a voter fills out a form with "Donald Duck" as the name, or 199 people are registered at the same 1 bedroom apartment, the organization is still required to turn it in.)

Voter registration is hard work, especially when you're working with the most marginalised folks in our society. Unfortunately we live in a political system that puts up barriers to voter registration and participation, making efforts like ACORN's necessary. (In many other democracies, the government takes the initiative to find and register all eligible voters instead of requiring people to jump through bureaucratic hoops to add their names to the rolls.)"
