Why is your POLL question and your TOPIC question completely different?

Romney was more qualified, but it would have killed the ticket as the old rich white guy ticket.

Palin is not qualified to be VP or president. The only reasons we are even talking about her is that she has an extra X chromosome, and she looks good on camera.

Much as I despise Hillary Clinton for her lack of ethics, at least she has the brains to be commander-in-chief.

The fact that Palin would even make a comment "Obama is regretting not picking Hillary" proves that all this circus hoopla is because she has a vagina.

Spot on, both points.

Biden gave foreign policy credentials to the democratic ticket, nothing else.

Romney would have given economic credentials to the republican ticket, but the republicans opted to energize the base, so its a net gain for the republicans.

None of the current candidates has any clue of the most pressing issue facing the country: monetary reform.

Therefore the net gain for the country from either of the two selections is zero, outlook negative.

While it is true that Palin has energized the Republican base, she may also have energized the Democratic base (the secular left, the environmentalists, the pro-abortion crowd, minorities). The election may be won by whose base is more energized and turns out in larger numbers on Nov 4.

He was well on his way to losing the election anyway.....it was desperation that made him turn his back on everything he had previously stood for and capitualate to the most extreme (no abortion for rape or incest) christo-crazies of the Republican base. To select a running mate who would force a 14 year old child to carry and deliver the product of a rape even if by her own brother or uncle or father.....that is an indication of how far McCain has stooped. They would even like to charge the victim of rape to pay for the collection of evidence.....do they want to charge victims of other crimes for fingerprint kits or collection of other forensic evidence? NO, they want to punish the victim of rape; but they are proud of Palin's own daughter, the victim of her own promiscuity and lack of information. they admire her "choices" but want to deny other women the same choice.

I hear some talk about adoption as an alternative to abortion, but I don't hear any talk about the massive amount of welfare money it will take to support all the unwanted children and to service their families for all the following years. Many of those children will not be adopted. Not everyone has family support, (especially in the cases of incest) not everyone is able to bill the state for the cost of meals and sleeping in their own home. Many of these unwanted children will be raised in foster homes, or worse....and many will end up in prisons.

Palin won't cost McCain the election; but she is the best arguement why it is so important that he does lose. It isnt her lack of experience that concerns me the most, it is that she is unfit for office. She is challenged in veracity, in ethics, in ideology and in compassion.

Senator McCain has proven he would rather lose his honor and self respect than lose this election.

Could be.

I'm an independent economic conservative, to me most everything else is red herring, really nothing in this election for people with this type of profile, except maybe the lesser of two evils type of vote.

Good luck!
