The McCain campaign is seeking to clarify a remark reported from a Sarah Palin fundraiser in North Carolina yesterday in which the Alaska Governor declared that she loved to visit the "pro-America" areas of the country -- implying, implicitly, that there were some parts of the United States she viewed as not pro-America.

This was another ignorant statement meant to introduce divisive rhetoric into the American mainstream. The Governor is bent on inciting destructive conversation into the American society with a mission clearly divisive in nature, and obstructive to the purpose and intent of the US Constitution.
Ignorance is running rampant and there are some politicians who promote and depend upon it. A High School civics course would do a great deal to quiet some of the agitation stemming from the confusion between democracy and economics.

Well, I think she was correct in her assessment of some areas. I live in a heavily Democrat area. You wouldn't believe how anti-America people can be. The Democrats have done a great job of indoctrinating them in socialism, anti-war, anti-military. I know what she was talking about, and she need not apologize for the comment.
When did it become anti-American to be anti-war? This country was founded on principles that people could think for themselves and have opposing views. An America that doesn't allow independent thought is anti-American. And that is the America that Palin supports.

It is a fair article written by intelligent people (The New Yorker editorial board). Also, why have two newspapers who have NEVER ENDORSED A DEMOCRAT chosen to endorse Obama? (LA Times and Chicago Tribune).
GOP commentators [Noonon\ Krauthammer\ Brooks\ Will\ Kristol\ Parker] are cringing in horror & refuse to say who they will vote for because of Sarah Palin.
