I agree....Palin forgot to mention that HER part of America definitely has some UN-American areas and she and Toddy are PART OF IT!

I think Obama supporters just get frustrated with the fact that the McCain supporters blatantly ignore or outright deny their own candidates' questionable associations. Can you imagine their outrage if Michelle Obama belonged to this party? But, overall, I agree with you. Obama has definitely taken the high road--HE certainly hasn't even mentioned Palin's connection to the AIP or any of McCain's dubious connections--and that, in part, is what will win him this election.

I'm not sure what's up with Joe Vogler. He seems a little bitter. Anyways here's the link to the party's platform page. From what I read so far, I like it. Government that is responsible to the citizens sounds good to me.

It's my opinion that at one time, Todd Palin had political aspirations of his own, which is why he joined the AIP. It worked for Wally Hickel, after all.
My point in these discussions has always been that Alaskans have good reason to deeply resent some aspects of federal involvement in Alaska.
