Powell's endorsement highlights what I've thought about Obama all along - specifically that he's highly intelligent (and actually THINKS before he acts), surrounds himself with the best and the brightest advisors, has run a brilliant campaign, and will re-energize America at home and repair severely-damaged US foreign policy abroad. He's not just the best candidate in this election, he's an EXCEPTIONAL candidate in any election - and just what America and the World needs at this point in time.

And (again as Powell stated) the personal attacks against Obama are baseless, irrelevant, and indicative of a Republican Party that has lost it's way and so has had to resort to petty, mean spirited, and just plain silly and pathetic tactics.

Thanks for pointing this out. The endorsement wasn't just about the mistake of bringin on Palin, it was very pro-Obama. Having a POTUS who thinks before he acts will be a refreshing change, indeed.
