Are there high taxes in New England? Are the cities in New England mostly high crime welfare cesspools? Do the states in New England vote mostly democrat? Yes sir, you DO live in an area that is becoming socialist!

Those states that have made a habit of sitting around waiting for fed. bailouts and gifties will sink further into the muck. They will keep appealing for aid from an increasingly over-stressed federal government. They will whine about businesses and jobs leaving. And the rest of us won't feel sorry for them.

Look for increased division in America and competition within, let alone from the outside. May the best states win!
For the most part you are right on, however, If Obama wins and the dems gain seats in congress we will potentially have the most powerfull President in our lifetime. We can expect a very aggressive and over reaching federal government, we can say goodbye to the court's hello to the fairness doctrine, and we will witness the larges expansion of the federal government in history.

Those that do so now and are in good fiscal shape will win. Those that don't will be at the mercy of the federal government for bailouts. Their teachers, law enforcement officials, firefighters and others in public service won't get paid. Oh, well!
Why are you so hateful? What has Obama ever done to you? Why do you repeatedly personally attack him? Oh right. He's black.

So funny that you don't answer my question. If you're so worried about the government being run by a Democratic President and a Democratic Congress, did that same bilateral power bother you under the Republicans?

You're so transparent.

1) Taxes depend on the state. (New England is not a state. Just FYI.)

2) No.

3) Depends on the state.

True, but that's where the states are going to have to exert their independence and contrary opinions. We can't allow the federal government to steamroll over states' rights. I know Texas won't.

LMAO! Patriot Act? Guantanamo? Iraq War? Welfare for the Rich? Perverse subsidies for oil companies? Multi-trillion-dollar national debt?

Newsflash: We've already witnessed the largest expansion of the federal government since the New Deal.

Texas might eventually go blue again. In fact, the growing Hispanic population virtually insures it. All that cheap labor is going to come back to haunt the Texas Republicans.
