So why are Dem. so jealous that these people are helping businesses to sell more?
I don't think Dems are jealous as you say.

It just shows how very OUT OF TOUCH republicans candidates are with the average Joe although they claim to know how much groceries and gas have gone up and how it effects us, the candidates don't really have a clue.

Nice to know Sara needed to be "caught up" to the ELITE

Her "one of us" type clothes just weren't good enough.

What is wrong with White House Black Market? Seriously, it is a mall store, I own a couple of piece of clothing from that store I snagged off the sale rack, and my salary doesn't even crack 50k a year (and no, I don't spend loads of money on clothing), I hate to break it to you, but that store isn't an Oak Street boutique and a lot of people, not just the wealthy, shop there. While I know that Michelle has some expensive dresses from a local designer I couldn't even begin to afford, I've also seen pictures of her public in a dress from H&M (which probably cost less than $60).

While I agree that this 'scandal' seems a bit silly, I would be a bit annoyed if I gave money to a political campaign only to watch used to buy a candidate silk Valentino jackets.

The funny thing about Palin's clothes, is that I thought she was wearing the same black skirt with different jackets. If they were going to spend that much on her, they should have added a little variety.

This may have been said before, but Michelle and Barack are paying for Michelle's clothes, not the DNC!

I do think you people are being too hard on McCain and Palin. If you listen to their rallies you will hear them tell Joe Six-Pack and Joe the Plumber how Obama will raise their taxes. So they obviously think that Joe and Joe make over $250,000 a year. And anyone who makes over $250,000 a year can certainly afford to shop at Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue once in a while.

Too true! My cousin calls Neiman-Marcus "Needless Markup".
