I do find it strange that Boris the Buffoon feels the need to publicly endorse Obama? That might hinder rather than help him (not that anyone in the US knows or even cares who Boris Johnson is).

What a shocker...A European conservative is pretty much in line with a center-left democrat in the U.S.

European liberals, conversely, are totally off-the-chart for U.S. standards. A mainstream social democrat from Europe would be a fringe socialist loon in the U.S.

Europeans desperately want the U.S. to become like them; high-tax nanny states with lethargic economies lacking innovation and an entrepreneurial work ethic, and they see Obama-Biden as an important step to get us there.

Yep. Seems to be a case of the child more and more resembling the parent.

Really? I think Europe would be happy if all Americans just all moved to the moon.

I don't think Europeans want the US to be like us. Most people I know actually enjoy what is great about the US, and very much either enjoy visiting there, or want to.

Europe IMO (like everywhere) thinks Bush was an utter disaster, and see Obama as being the furthest thing away from that possible. We wish you all the best and hope you make the right choice (my wife sent her absentee ballot this week, and she's confident she has).
