I have threatened it, but I didn't move out either time Bush was elected, and I survived--just barely. McCain/Palin scare me to death. I know--If they are elected, I will stay in the US and move to Alaska and supplement my income when I retire with my monthly oil revenue checks! Let Sarah dress like she wants!

I would've moved a long time ago but it takes so much money that I wouldn't have any left for my retirement.
ANYONE can move into the U.S. but other countries are much smarter and actually have RULES and REGULATIONS and it takes some money to move in.

I guess the bottom line is , if you're rich enough it doesn't matter what country you live in.

It's even more expensive everywhere else I want to live, or it's just too cold.

If Palin became VP I would want to move out of the country, but I'd stay and just rant on message boards

They don't have any beef with Senator Obama, but feel that Senator McCain will be a continuation of George Bush's policies and this makes me very uncomfortable! Also, I think that he will make the economic situation worse, and I'm nervous about Gov. Palin's role. So there are a whole host of reasons that I'd like to book out of here if he is elected!
Need help packing?

I thought Alec Baldwin sounded stupid when he said that, and looked even stupider when he didn't follow through. We live in the best country on earth, no matter who is president (at least for now it's the best country on earth - not sure what it will be after 4 years of socialism). I don't know where you'd go to find a better life or better opportunities than we have here.

You're absolutely correct, it can take years to get things lined up to move to Canada or Australia (believe me, I tried!). You need several thousand dollars and a lot of time.. We should be thankful we live in a country where you can just walk across the border without paperwork or money.

You're 100% right, but some just can't figure that out for some reason.

I wish the US didn't let everyone in. Why DO we do that? I know we are supposed to be a refuge, but we obviously can't let everyone in, especially every ILLEGAL immigrant who wants to come here. Think any of us could show up in another country and stay? Nope. And they sure wouldn't pay our medical bills and educate our children.
