Mr. Rubin is a professor of economics and law at Emory University. He held several senior economic positions in the Reagan administration, and is an unpaid adviser to the McCain campaign.
Yeah. Biased information is only legitimate if it makes Obama look good. Wish these conservatives would figure it out!

Interesting. What is biased about this information? Mr. Rubin is a professor of economics and law at Emory University. He held several senior economic positions in the Reagan administration, and is an unpaid adviser to the McCain campaign.

Uh, yeah. Probably because as an economist he knows WHAT REPUBLICANS DO WORKS FOR THE ECONOMY.
Moreover, the beneficial impacts of Mr McCain’s tax cuts on investment could be entirely cancelled out by the borrowing that would be needed to finance a bigger deficit. The Tax Policy Centre estimates that his tax plans would boost the national debt by $758 billion by 2018, assuming that Mr Bush’s tax cuts remain in place and the Alternative Minimum Tax—a parallel tax system aimed at the wealthy—doesn’t ensnare a growing share of the middle class. Such borrowing pushes up interest rates and thereby crowds out more productive private investment.
Mr McCain has promised to balance the budget in his first term (ie, by 2013) but offers no credible way of doing this, especially since the deficit is already projected to top $400 billion, or about 3% of GDP, next year. Mr Obama’s tax plans, relative to the same projections, would reduce the debt by $748 billion.
But if the coming wave of new regulation from an Obama administration is harmful to the economy, Mr. Obama will take a page from FDR's playbook. He'll blame Republicans for having caused the market crash in the first place, and so escape blame for the consequences of his policies. It worked for FDR and, so far in this campaign, blaming Republicans and George W. Bush has worked for Mr. Obama. Democrats draw their political power from trial lawyers, unions, government bureaucrats, environmentalists, and, perhaps, my liberal colleagues in academia. All of these voting blocs seem to favor a larger, more intrusive government. If things proceed as they now appear likely to, we can expect major changes in policies that benefit these groups. If those of us who favor free markets for the freedom and prosperity they bring are right, the political system may soon put our economy on track for a catastrophe.
That's okay. 4 years into Obama rule and it will STILL be the Republican's fault Sort of like the alcoholic who blames his parents or upbringing for his problems instead of taking responsibility for his own life and realizing his past doesn't determine his future. Always looking behind...... Keep blaming your bad behavior on others. Yeah, THAT's the ticket!
Obama cares about the little guy? Give me a break! He cares about being ELECTED. I do believe McCain and Palin care more about the little guy than Obama. Obama will be a total disaster for our country, not Obama. Obama has NO experience handling a crisis. And he stutters if you haven't noticed, and seems to have trouble collecting his thoughts or expressing his thoughts or remember where he is a lot of the time. Biden and Hillary both said - OBAMA IS NOT READY.
None of these yahoos cares for the little guy. Since when has either party in DC cared about the little guy? What they DO care about is how they can USE the little guy towards their advantage and then disguard him.
Even more reason to vote for Obama. FDR led us from a widespread, republican-aided depression to the longest sustained period of shared prosperity in the history of Western civilization.
Ok, so one candidate is accused of being like FDR. The other is accused of being like GWB. Which is a greater insult? LOL.
