Don't Democrats realize that turning America into one big San Fransisco is not good for us?
They don't see it that way. They think the failure of socialism in California is citizens exercising their freedom to leave. They figure if they can eliminate where non-socialists can run to, then somehow those people will make socialism successful... That's what "we're all in this together" means... They want to be able to use the threat of prison to coerce you to cooperate.
Socialism is government ownership of the economy. Neither major party advocates socialism, but Bush's purchase of a quarter trillion dollars in bank equity is a hell of a lot closer to it than Obama wanting to raise taxes a few percent on the rich, if we're going to talk about socialism.
Are you kidding? San Fran is one of the fastest growing cities. I'd love to live there.
