However, so as to get back on topic...

I will actually agree that the media tries to exert influence over people, as they are the most masterful of marketers. Matters not if it is Fox, MSNBC, or any other news-entertainment outlet, as they are all for profit entities beholden to shareholders and their army of lobbyist that try to exert influence over government in turn for favorable legislation.

However, I laugh in the face of anyone who suggest that corporate media today is liberal or conservative, it is for profit and that is all that matters. Every since 911 I have witnessed a media that regurgitated White House press releases nearly verbatim as though it was the only thing worth air time. I watched as the media along with Congress sell a war, then when it didn't turn out as planned, they both claimed they were duped when in fact they never did their damn job in the first place.

During the last election, I saw the constant airing of "Flip flopper", Swiftboating, and wide spread voting problems, to which the media never apologized nor followed up on what is a huge story. Best reason I can tell as to why, was business was good.

Come the economic meltdown and a clear revealing of the Bush legacy and media suddenly turned to bite the hand that fed it for the past seven years. It looks to McCain and sees a man that isn't as good for business and profit as Obama appears to be. Think of the media wonderland that is the historical Obama campaign and think of the revenues generated by it.

However, this election there are masses of people feeling a serious pinch in the pocketbooks, and media or no media, they are not going to vote for anyone, no matter who, that resembles the policies that led them to that pinch in the first place. In this case, the media is as much as along for the ride as anything. After all, a parasite doesn't suck the life out of its host or it too dies, just enough to keep the host alive and continue to feed.

How will they heal it when they will do the same things that failed this country in the first place by the Bush Administration?

Don't let them influence, depress or suppress you.
The left is "vicious"??? Because the racist, hate-spewing right is justified. Got it.

Is this thread a joke?

In case you weren't aware Sanrene, John McCain has is own internal polling and HE KNOWS he is down as he continually repeats and you can see the down look on his face and the shambles that the McCain campaign is in.

Even FOX NEWS knows McCain is going down. Isn't Obama up 9 in the Fox News Poll or is Fox News now part of the "liberal media"? LOL. The quicker you acknowledge that all odds are against McCain, the less silly and humiliated you will feel on election day.
