I think you have to vote "none of the above" or write in "Mickey Mouse" or some other protest. Then at least you showed up and made your statement.

Otherwise, you get lumped in with all the folks too damn lazy to show up at the polls and yes, lose your right to complain.

You may continue to complain, no one really knows whether you voted or not.

Or even better, write in someone you think would be a good choice. Surely, in the entire population of the US there is somebody you like.

Well, I could write MYSELF in...but I don't seek to have power over others, so I'd be a real bad choice for myself. I don't support a system where other people have any power over you.

Tanks!
I bought a new car, after 5,000 miles it broke down, boy, did I complain. when I was 17, I was given my first car, a 63 chevy impala. it broke down as soon as it drove it home. did I complain? I did not. oranges to apples one might say? maybe, maybe not. a vote is a vote, however not counted, 'electoral mapping". mr gore had received more votes than buska, was he our president? he was not. to complain about events after an election? I think not. why, one who doesn't vote, shouldn't complain, although, he/she has every American right to. why? Americans, wheather they voted or not, are still taxpayers, and, therefore, have the right as a taxpayer to have a voice. tell me if my hillbilly logic is correct.

Why? What if there is nobody you want to vote for?

That's why I'm voting for Kermit the Frog!

Yes a person can gripe if they don't vote. This is a free country. Not my fault that there isn't a candidate worthy of my vote. That being said, it is also your right to gripe if I gripe even if I don't vote.
