Ever since Palin burst onto the scene like a new strain of virus, I knew that she was chosen by the Neocons, although I didn't know that it was this slug.
Last week I was watching one of the Suday morning political shows and sour lemon face Bill Kristoll was raving about Palin. No matter what subject was brought up, this creep kept directing it back to her. I said to myself..."what is up with this A-hole?" Now I know.
SHe was chosen to ignite and solidify the conservative base, which she has done. What about that don't you understand? That is usually one of the criteria for a VP - bring a state, a segment of the population, or shore up the POTUS weakness.
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand that. She has excited, fired up the base. Without her, McCain would be down big time. She gives him the shot to win it. Really quite simple, when you actually think.
Kristol had been touting her for many months - exactly for that reason - to get the base behind McCain, which he didn't have.
So Alaska was going blue? Or did McCain want to see socialism first hand?
The GOP base would have voted for a rock if it had won the nominee. As usual, Independents are the key to win any election. Palin turns them off in droves.

Okay I let a lot of what you say slide but that she has united the base is patently false. From big name long time party faithfuls to conservative journalists to the every day members, she has caused more dissent within the party then perhaps any candidate to date. Claiming anything else isn't just a kool-aid falsehood it is an out and out lie.
Yep, and I bet he's kicking himself now, after this new poll came out today:
Quote:
A growing number of voters have concluded that Senator John McCain’s running mate, Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska, is not qualified to be vice president, weighing down the Republican ticket in the last days of the campaign, according to the latest New York Times/CBS News poll.
All told, 59 percent of voters surveyed said Ms. Palin was not prepared for the job, up nine percentage points since the beginning of the month.
They should have listened to Karl Rove. Romney would have been the perfect person considering the financial crisis and whether anyone believe it or not, he is well liked in the party.
