Wikipedia, Obama in Illinois:

Illinois Senate career of Barack Obama - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"In January 2003, after six years on the committee and four years as its minority spokesman, Obama became chairman of the Health and Human Services Committee. The new Democratic majority allowed Obama to write and pass more legislation than in previous years. He sponsored successful efforts to expand children's health care, create a plan to provide equal health care access for all Illinois residents, and create a "Hospital Report Card" system, and worker's rights laws that protected whistleblowers, domestic violence victims, equal pay for women, and overtime pay.[15] His most public accomplishment was a bill requiring police to videotape interrogations and confessions in potential death penalty cases. Obama was willing to listen to Republicans and police organizations and negotiate compromises to get the law passed.[16] That helped him develop a reputation as a pragmatist able to work with various sides of an issue.[6] Obama also led the passage of a law to monitor racial profiling by requiring police to record the race of drivers they stopped.[17]"

Doesn't sound very patriotic. You wouldn't support the president of the United States? There is a political party in Alaska just for you, BTW.

Then maybe another country will be a better place for you.

The AMERICAN thing to do is to support your president. I did NOT vote for "W" but as an american, I supoort my president...

You are obviously a child who has not been thru many/any presidential elections and are voting based on what people tell you as opposed to the facts.

Yes I am voting for Obama, but if McCain pulls out a vistory, I vow to support him...

That's not a Democratic or Republican thing..

IT'S AMERICAN!!!!!!!!!!!

and yet his wife's hospital she helps administrate had a settlement for dumping people and she makes $350k from a non-profit, that ironically has been profiting off poor by charging anywhere from 3.5X more to 5.6X more than insured people oh yeah, they have been averaging over $100 million a year as a non-profit, lol.

the services he changed was the income required for a program that was already instated. he changed it from $28k to $30k.

Just like hillary in New York as senator, BTW. Now we get her for SOS.... do 2 people telling half-truths and accomplishing nothing for their states mean they will now tell 1/4 truths and accomplish even less for the country?

How appropriate, Po (as in poor) The Patriot. How are those Asian and European markets doing with your money

What nonsense. Bush was scripted because he had nothing to say, and most of the time, he still got it wrong while sounding like he was reading. He's the village idiot after all. Talk about lying. He lied to go to war, get serious. Lied to hide the strategic military blunders. Lied about not being interested in "nation-building." Lied by pretending that he knew what the hell he was doing up there even when it was obvious he didn't have a clue.

Obama may be scripted, but this is because of the opposite reason. He is far too articulate and intelligent to speak freely, tying all the conservatives up in a bundle. So scripts are necessary to enable all to understand the message he wants to convey.
