It seems John McCain loves the Military because of its massive budget and the ability for his friends and family to make huge amounts of money, but doesnt want to help soldiers in the military unless they make a career out of it?

Do US Soldiers know his stance against giving them more for their sacrifice???

because he supports expanding the GI bill.

Obama:

“I can’t believe why he (McCain) believes it is too generous to our veterans, I could not disagree with him and the president more on this issue,” Obama said. “There are many issues that lend themselves to partisan posturing, but giving our veterans the chance to go to college should not be one of them.”

Barack Obama will rebuild the military for 21st century tasks:

Obama and Biden will complete the effort to increase our ground forces by 65,000 soldiers and 27,000 Marines. They will also invest in 21st century missions like counterinsurgency by building up our special operations forces, civil affairs, information operations, foreign language training and other units and capabilities that remain in chronic short supply.

Restore the readiness of the National Guard and Reserves:

Obama and Biden will provide the National Guard with the equipment it needs for foreign and domestic emergencies. They will ensure that reservists and Guard members are treated fairly when it comes to employment, health, and education benefits.

Engage our allies in meeting our common security challenges:

Obama and Biden will renew alliances and ensure our allies contribute their fair share to our mutual security.

I agree with McCain on the GI bill and his reasoning for opposing it. As do most troops I know. Would you prefer to bring the draft back?

We are at war and Obama has said he will cut military funding.

We've done fine without the draft so far, no?

Education costs have gone through the roof yet you agree with McCain that the Military should NOT increase the aid proportionately?

Thats just absurd.

Someone who has been in for one enlistment should not get the exact same as someone who has been in for three or four. Yes, we have done fine without the draft. Mccain is trying to keep it that way.

A draft will mean a weaker military... Something Nobama and Biden don't understand.

who the hell said Obama wants a draft??? In fact, a stronger GI bill and LESS war would actually INCREASE enlistments.

McCain is the one who says we needs to be in Iraq for 100 years.

McCain is the one who said we should bomb Iran.

McCain is the one taking a unusually cold-war stance against Putin.

McCain is the one who will push this country into a draft.

Not Senator Obama.
