Okay. Lets just assume those 18,000 folks were going to vote for the McCain-Palin ticket and 100,000 that turned out for Obama were going to vote for the Obama-Biden ticket. How does the math add up there my friend???

So jeans makes you vote for someone? Jeans makes someone a "good VP"? Seriously?

As for the number of people showing up for these rallies, what venues are they using? That will determine whether or not they are bringing in good crowds.

Not like the 100,000 people that came to see Obama in Missouri...lets see.. the GOP base was fired up in 2004 and the democrats werent fired up yet the democrats lost the election by a small margin in Ohio. The democrats are fired up BIG time this years so take a guess at what will happen
You are incorrect. The democrats had massive turnout in 2004, their best year by far in recent memory. Guess what happened - the "base" was fired up as well, same as this year because of Palin.

Funny thing - back in 2004, remember all we heard about was the great turnout expected for the democrats - the youth vote would put them over the top. The media pretty muched ignored the turnout from the republican base - boy were they surprised. Remember?

People want to see Palin before she disappears, like the GOP trolls on this forum. Buh bye!

Just saw a story on CNN that McCain's speech today in Tampa got only 1,000 people while Bush's speech there in 2004 got 15,000. Interesting.

Will look for the link.

Didn't the Dems lose in 2004? Good example

One thing that the polls are not showing are new registered democrats. Also democratic turnout is going to trump what the polls show.

MO needs all the entertainment it can get, and it doesn't come better than Palin, the Republican lark.

Yeah...in StL...which is HEAVILY liberal compared to the rest of the state. Only KC comes close as a percentage.

But the balance in population between STL & KC and the less urban parts of the state is nearly even....which is why MO is a toss up and not an overwhelming victory for the Dems. Rural MO is chocked full of the redneck gunslingers that liberals love to hate.
